American Academy of Bereavement

The American Academy of Bereavement (AAB), founded in 1993, is a national association devoted to the education, preparation, and advancement of bereavement specialists. The Academy is an affiliate of CMI Education Institute, located in Eau Claire, WI. The AAB serves as a stepping stone for professional and personal growth in the field of bereavement. AAB members have to opportunity to establish relationships with colleagues across the country. Through seminars, national conferences and networking, members are able to discuss the challenges and gifts of their unique work.
Purpose
The American Academy of Bereavement, as a professional organization, has the responsibility to set forth and promote standards of excellence in bereavement care. We believe that quality educational programming is necessary to develop, maintain, and augment competence in the field. We embrace interdisciplinary communication and collaboration as being essential to assuring that the highest level of care is given to those affected by death and serious illness. AAB serves its members by providing educational opportunities, stimulating research and addressing issues relevant to the field of thanatology.

DBTNCAA
DBTNCAA is a non-profit organization founded to promote the evidence-based practice of DBT through the certification of providers who meet benchmarks in DBT training and experience. This month, DBTNCAA acquired the Dialectical Behavior Therapy Association (DBTA) from CMI Education Institute in an effort to better serve providers with an ongoing interest in developing competency in DBT. With this transition, DBTNCAA will provide ongoing DBT-related information and access to clinical tools to members while CMI will continue to manage memberships with their outstanding customer service.

International Association of Trauma Professionals

Welcome to the International Association of Trauma Professionals. We are a non-profit association created to address the need for a credible and stable membership organization for professionals in the field of traumatic stress treatment, intervention and education.
By joining the IATP, you become part of an international network of trauma professionals with access to education, research, and competency-based certification in the treatment of trauma.
